Russ is a native of the Houston metropolitan area. He grew up in Dayton about 50 miles east of Houston. He has also lived and worked in the Dallas and San Antonio metropolitan areas. Russ received his B.A. in psychology with a concentration in management from Baylor University. He worked as a branch manager for a national banking firm in several Texas cities until returning to Houston.
In 1990, Russ moved back to the Houston area where he began his graduate work in psychology. It was at this time that he began work with Project ReEntry as a Cognitive Therapist. During his post-graduate work, he performed a supervised internship at the Center for the Retarded in Houston and assisted in Alzheimer's research at the University of Houston @ Clear Lake. In 1993, he earned his Master's degree in psychology from U.H. at Clear Lake. He enjoys the challenges and rewards of assisting clients with their vocational, academic, and independent living pursuits.
As Director of Project ReEntry, Russ
reports directly to Dr. Pollock. He is
responsible for Project ReEntry's day-to-day program administration and
the supervision of the cognitive therapy and vocational evaluation
programs. Fortunately for us, Russ is also a bit of a "computer geek".
We rely on his expertise to keep our computer systems operating
efficiently. He
is always willing to pitch in and help out wherever he can be of
assistance. |
